Why did you choose to go into law?: Been a lifelong passion for me. Both parents went into law and I grew up sitting around the dinner table listening to the legal stories from their days at work. It was always interesting to me and I knew it would be my career path eventually.

What is your specific field of law?: Personal injury.

How do you set yourself apart from other firms in the area?: Morgan and Morgan sets itself apart by not only it’s marketing presence but by truly having top of the line personal injury attorneys. I practiced personal injury defense for years and knew it would be a professional but intense battle whenever it was an attorney from their office handling the case.

What do you see as the greatest challenges in your practice?: Zoom trials are extremely difficult as many personal injury cases really on seeing the raw emotions of a plaintiff and now the injuries have effected him or her. That doesn’t come across in a zoom trial. We have to find a way to get back into the courtroom safely.

What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment as an attorney?: I started my legal career as a prosecutor and felt a true sense of accomplishment when I would get a conviction on a serious felony charge. It was a real sense of accomplishment to put the “bad guys” away.

Are you involved in any local organizations?:
American Cancer Society
Muscular Dystrophy Association
Board of Trustees SUM Church
JBA young lawyer section board

What advice would you give someone considering going to law school?: Take courses in as many subject matters as you can. You never know what you like until you try it. And be prepared to pay student loans back for 20 years!
