On 5 Minute Salute, our host Chris Budihas talks to veterans making a difference in their communities. Today, Chris has the honor to speak with John Rezen of Value Health LLC.
I help hospitals facing financial and operational challenges with their employed physician groups establish a high performing physician enterprise that drives hospital financial success and growth.
I institute a high-performance infrastructure focused on financial optimization through operational excellence and organizational alignment driven by physician leadership and a data driven accountability system. After deploying my high-performance infrastructure, the hospital will have a learning system that will continue to drive improvements into the future.
(Hospital COO statement 4 years after deploying my service… “I would be happy to serve as a reference. We are still reaping the rewards of the time you spent with us and the discipline you instilled.”)
How do you define success?
Short Term: Bringing greater value to healthcare by helping clients achieve the goals we have established for them. Getting results.
Long Term: Being told well done my faithful servant by my Holy Father.
How did you get started in your field or work?: After getting my MHA I joined the Navy as a Medical Service Corps Officer.
What’s one thing we should know that makes your company unique?
Rather than offering high-cost segmented solutions I institute a low-cost data driven mentoring environment that drives sustainable improvements across all functions of the organization. After deploying my system hospitals continue to learn and improve long after my on-site service has ended.
What was the biggest obstacle you had to overcome in your business?
Taking time to work on marketing and self promotion is still a big obstacle.
