What trends are currently shaping the construction industry?Larger size tile floors, reeded cabinets and feature walls, more complicated countertop details including backlighting natural stone.

How are you implementing sustainable building practices?Remodeling is sustainable by definition as you are improving a current space instead of the hassle and expense of moving and purchasing a new home.

What challenges are you facing with labor shortages or supply chains?Some rising material costs, which may subside or level out. Finding highly skilled labor is always a challenge, but we aren’t experiencing the sorts of shortages we did a few years ago, so no major challenges in those departments.

How do you ensure safety on your job sites?Training, cleanliness and professional project management.

What role does technology play in your planning and execution?We utilize BuilderTrend project management software which allows our clients to stay up to date on the details of their project at a glance, from their home, or the other side of the globe.

Can you describe a recent project that stood out to you?We just completed a project where we designed and installed all of the finishes in a home that our client was building themselves. It’s a gorgeous home and they just moved in. We designed and installed cabinets, countertops, tile and flooring for their entire 4500′ home.

What advice would you give to someone entering the construction field?Specialize in a trade and learn as much as you can. The opportunities are endless for hardworking craftspeople now and going forward.
