It reinforced my belief that people remember experiences far more than pitches… and that authenticity and creativity still cut through the noise. Winning! How do you measure the effectiveness of your marketing initiatives? I measure effectiveness by engagement, response, and conversation, not just clicks. When people who don’t even know me reach out, comment, laugh, or remember the experience, that’s a win. When I walk into a client’s office and they still have my marketing sitting on their desk, it’s a win. Creative contacts like a crumpled letter in a trash can or a coffee-stained note in a cup spark curiosity and human reaction. When people lean in, respond, and start conversations, I know the marketing is working.
What trends are shaping the future of advertising? The future of advertising is being shaped by a shift toward authenticity, experience, and trust. Consumers are tuning out polished, generic ads and responding more to real stories, short-form video, and brands that feel human. AI and automation are increasing efficiency, but the differentiator will be creativity and connection. The brands that win will be the ones that create memorable experiences, listen well, and build relationships…. not just impressions.
How are you integrating AI or automation into your campaigns? AI is a tool, not the voice. I integrate it to enhance clarity and consistency while keeping every campaign rooted in real people, real stories, and real experiences.
What advice would you give to aspiring marketers today? Don’t just study marketing… study and learn your people. The campaigns that work best create moments, spark curiosity, and build connection. Creativity paired with empathy will always win.
