How do you define success?
Success for me is doing work that is aligned with my values and what brings me joy.
How did you get started in your field or work?
I have always been an advocate for helping others develop into the leader they want to be. I started teaching early in Federal career and with much persistence and grit I completed my Doctorate in Organizational Leadership and went on to instruct at various civilian leadershipship schools in the DoD and State Department. I am now retired from the Federal Government and continue to do the work I love as a small business owner.
What’s one thing we should know that makes your company unique?
Every client is unique so my work is customized to meet their needs and outcomes. I feel strongly that I am in service to others. I dedicate myself to work alongside my clients guiding them to achieve success.
What was the biggest obstacle you had to overcome in your business?
The biggest obstacles I had to overcome in my career were being a women in a predominantly male world, being a civilian in a predominately military culture and having to communicate my value as I sought employment in multiple states and locations as we moved about the world. Keeping and growing a career in the Federal government who you are a military spouse is CHALLENGING yet doable.
