About Goodwill Of Southern Nevada (GSN0GSN is 501(c)(3) nonprofit social enterprise that uses a braided funding model, including funds from our popular thrift stores, to fund workforce development training and supportive services. Responsible to a local board as part of a federated model, GSN provides services to southern Nevadans from Lincoln, Esmeralda, Nye, and Clark counties. Our mission is to reduce the impact of poverty on our community by helping Southern Nevadans obtain local employment and upward mobility.
What differentiates you from the competition?We create the illusive “win-win” for the community. We are a non-profit that is focused on reinvesting funds into the local community for local benefit. Be it as a trainer or an employer, supporting GSN is supporting local workforce development.
What are your top selling services or products that your company offers?Our thrift stores are popular, convenient places to donate and shop. Of our mission services, our train—to-hire programs are the most popular programs we offer. Finally, our disability programming is very popular.
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?GSN is a local organization, focused on local issues. Our partners include employers, other nonprofits, and local government, all working to place southern Nevadans on a path to sustainable careers.
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?The continued task of educating the community about the linkage between their donations and benefits to the community.
